One need only visit his workshop, where teetering junk piles are fashioned into anything from hypnotic mind rays to doomsday dancefloor devices...all of which he tests on us, whether we realize it or not. Daniel's dossier : Daniel comes to us from the SF Bay Area, where he spent 3+ years being inspired by the local psy scene, while dj'ing and attending grad school. His first exposure to psytrance was back in 1999 while at a party in Tokyo. Now he's in the Midwest, as a co-founder of Audiognomes, ready to inject a potent psychedelic cocktail of sound straight into the brains of some jaded yet eager young heads of cheese. Toki's recipe for psy is stirred a bit slower...flavored with an open can of progresso melody, and served over a bed of deep, funky grooves. However, after a summer in NY experiencing the scene, GeaL is ready to help spread the scene to the Midwest. alternate guise : creox alias : Sameer Chugh mission : promote, organize, decorate dossier : Creox was born and brought up in Mumbai, India. Though he likes ambient and many other electronic styles, he was infected with psy three years ago and has been lucky enough to catch a lot of good sets, appreciating the music more with each passing day. Creox currently resides at Beloit College where he studies Business and International Relations. Like his fellow gnomes, he wants to help spread and enjoy trance in the Midwest. robyo aliases : Robert Young, Mokshaman, Moonbass Alpha mission : promote, dj, create, vibrate dossier : Robyo was born and raised in Rockford, Illa'noize, where he played bass in several well-known punk and hardcore bands. At the age of 21 he moved to Oregon state and discovered electronica. He picked up djing and also learned to play djembe and didjeridoo. After living in the Pacific Northwest for several years and graduating college, he moved back to the mighty midwest to continue playing music and djing. Robyo's dj style is analogous to the ocean's tides where tempo, density and color sway though time and a divine oscillating influence. He is an avid fan of psychadelic production techniques and prefers tribal, dub, ambient and trance soundscapes. As an advocate for trance culture, Rob has hooked up with Audiognomes to bring the best vibes possible to the Heartland. alternate guise : PsiloPsyBen alias : Ben Paepke mission : promote, produce, dj dossier : Born and raised just outside of Madison WI, Ben had lacked psy for a great portion of his life. One fateful day he was exposed to its wonders, and has been trying to promote and spread the sound ever since. In his spare time you can either find him in his studio trying to push dark psy to it's limits, or on his computer creating his own brand of electronic music. alternate guise : Saeros alias : Andrew Paepke mission : promote, dj dossier : Saeros began his journey into the psy scene in August of 2005. He has had two personalities in the electronic world. Light and dark coming from the lands of house, techno, trance, and breakcore into the world of goa and psy. Being led by his deep love of classical music and ancient literature, his music tastes show it in the light of how he will expand your heart, and in the darkness by twisting your psyche. He aims to please the dancefloor with his elvish melody. You can often find this fellow in the midst of his fellow gnomes or welcoming newcomers with his kind wit and thoughtful antics. You might see him dancing with a look of joy in the middle of the night to the sounds of his tribe mimbers, wandering down paths with bubble wands or eating watermelons in the sunlight. Saeros is indeed a delightful find. Seek him out and you will be tranceformed. alternate guise : Microcosm alias : Alison mission : promote, organize, decorate dossier : Microcosm (or "Cosm" for short) was once a proud member of the trancers, children of the late night limitation. Constantly seeking something a little bit more creative within sound, she pushed and sought at every event she could to find something...something...but what? Then one fateful night she heard it. At first unsure of what it was, she tiptoed towards it, peered at it with her ears and found something more beautiful then anything she had heard before : Psy. Like an alien autopsy it probed in and injected her with new life. She now eats three healthy doses of Psy a day. You might also see her about, covered in strange neon ribbons, or stomping about in mad fashion on the dancefloor.
